Unlike other inspirational stories like that of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam , Sundar Pichai (CEO of Google) , David Goggins did not born into nothingness infact he was son of one of the richest black living in a lavish white neighborhood . But as the quotes suggest “Money can't buy a good heart “ . He considers his father as devil himself . HIs father treats his family (David ,his brother and his mother) like trash . Making them work almost entire day while himself busy talking to stripers and gambling away money . One day he beat David(he was 9-10 years old at that time ) so hard that his ear started bleeding profusely in the school due to which he was sent home , David did not tell anyone about his bleeding ear because he knew that his father would not pay for his treatment . He simply went to his bed and endured the pain until his mother , disobeying his devil husband (they were not actually married , they were just living together . He did not marry her because he did not want her to have any rights on his property) took him to the hospital . After returning from the hospital his mother was brutally beaten up by David's father . His whip her with knuckles of his belt on her naked body . Seeing his father beating his mother David jumped on him to protect his mother . Which made him beat both David and his mother .He told her mother that ”she was raising a gangster .". After this incident his mother decided to take divorce from him . She convinced him for a credit card and took her both children with her to her parents home . Her elder son other than David later returned to his father because he could not endure their new poor lifestyle but not David his mental toughness was already above most of the children at that time . He was constantly abused by whites . Received lots of racist comments , had guns pointed on his had , false accusation for bringing drugs to school . Received tons of death threats from children around him .
