What do you understand about mental health? Is it important? What would you prefer more, physical or mental health? How can we achieve a good mental state? These are some common doubts in everyday basis. How can we answer all these?
Well, mental health is much more important than our physical Health. If our mind is clear and healthy, it will reflect in the actions of our body. We can easily identify any physical issues associated with our body. There are many scientific ways for that. For example; If we have cancer, our body itself shows some symptoms. Then we will check it and diagnosed it as cancer.soon we will start the treatments like surgery, chemotherapy etc and try to cure it. Then what about a mental disease like depression or anxiety disorder? We all think that it is nothing to bother. But it is much to bother. They are not like our period mood swings. They are severe mental distortions and will eventually lead to death if we don't care about it. People take it as an embarrassing thing to reveal that "I have depression".They are ashamed for referring themselves to a psychologist or a psychiatrist. Peoples with these kind of mental issues are refused to take medical support only because of the thought that what will others think about me. Even the families rarely support them. Society is also responsible for these thoughts for some extent. But nowadays through movies and from social media, many of us understand that it is important for a healthy life. Covering up those will leads to a severe social crisis.
How can we accept those with mental weakness? How can we help them? How can we overcome ourself from these? Answer for all these are quite simple. Introspect yourself. Try to prepare your mind for anything. Not be sympathetic towards other, be empathetic. Lend your ears for the one who need. The person in front of your doesn't want your solution, they just need your presence and time. Do you know how much your presence is valuable for a person who is suffering from a depression or an anxiety disorder? Try to refresh your mind everyday by reading good books,listening good thoughts, building good relationships etc. Try to make a good bond with others so that you can freely talk about your problems to them. Attain a well balanced emotional state. It is definitely important to fight in this world. Be bold, be strong.
