Pearl V Puri is an Indian television actor born on 10th July 1989. He started his career from the year 2013 and still progressing at present. A turning point in Puri’s career finally came in 2018. When he joined Ekta Kapoor’s successful supernatural franchise Naagin season 3. He was loved by audience as Mahir Sehgal and his chemistry with the co-actress Surbhi Jyoti brought lot a TRP to the show as well. This was one of his best show till now in his working career and the other two most popular shows were Bepanah Pyaar aired in the year 2019 in June and then Brahmarakshas in the year 2020. He also starred in many music albums one of which received high TRP was Teri Ankhon Mein. He earned great name and fame through his work in television industry and as it is said it takes years to make a good name but just few seconds to ruin it.

On 4th June 2021 during night Pearl V Puri was arrested in an alleged rape and molestation case of a minor girl. The Waliv Police in Vasai, Mumbai, have registered a rape case against six person including Pearl V Puri.

According to the Waliv police, the victim’s father had approached them in 2019 alleging that his daughter was sexually assaulted. The identity of the accused had not been revealed at the time the investigation began. Before taking any actions the police department decided to get a statement from girl and find evidence.

The victim has said that she was initially raped in a car and then repeatedly raped by the accused involved. The victim identified the accused recently, and after recording her statement and identification of the accused, the police took him into custody for further investigation.

Minor girl had alleged that Puri who has been acting in television serials for over nine years had befriended the girl and had taken sexual favours from her by promising her a career in TV serials.

The actor is booked under Sections 376 AB (Punishment for rape on woman under 12 years of age) of the Indian Penal Code, and Sections 4, 8, 12, 19 and 21 under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.The actor was taken under police custody on 4th June and was produced before the court on 5th June. In the court hearing the actor was granted bail.
