It's been years since Hindi audiences at large criticized Bollywood's narrowing down to just these two genres – remake or biopic. But Bollywood is still focused on itself. Out of the two Hindi films that hit theaters on July 15, one is a biopic and the other is a remake!Suspense thriller film 'Hit: The First Kesa' is a remake of the new film that has come to Bollywood. Recently there has been a trend in Bollywood to include the director of the original to solve the problem of not accompanying the original while remaking foreign films into Hindi. In 2020, when the Telugu hit 'Hit: The First Case' was remade into Hindi with the same name, it was Shailesh Kolanu who produced the Telugu film who wore the director's shirt.Rajkumar Rao is playing the central role in 'Hit: The First Casey', which hit the theaters with Taapsee's heroine 'Sabash Mithu'. Sanya Malhotra, Shilpa Shukla, Sanjay Narvekar, Milind Gunaji, Dalip Tahil, Jatin Goswami etc. played the rest of the roles in the film. The sequel of 'Hitti' in Telugu, 'Hit: The Second Case' is going to hit the theaters in the last week of this month, and the remake of the first part is coming. In the current scenario, it is doubtful whether Rajkumar Rao's 'Hitty' will be able to bring the audience who do not like the remake tag to the theatres. While the Brahmanda film 'Samshera', which is being awaited by Bollywood fans, is also going to hit the theaters next week, it is quite difficult for the 'hit' to become a hit at the box office.

If the fact that it is a remake is not considered as a drawback, Hit is a good thriller film.Vikram Singh is the smartest officer in Hit, a special department of the police that focuses only on homicide cases. Constantly haunted by haunting memories of the past, Vikram's only solace is being immersed in cases. When stress, depression and work affect Vikram's life as well, Neha, his lover, asks him to quit his job, which leads to a fight between the two.Vikram, who took a three-month leave from work and left alone, later hears that Neha is missing. Although Vikram is sidelined from investigating Neha's case, he starts investigating in his own way. Vikram leads the investigation through another similar case as he cannot directly intervene in the case.Although the case in the story seems to be over the top, the film manages to give a good thriller feel. This is not a film to be underestimated because it is a remake. The director has made the film in such a way that it keeps the audience on the edge of their seats from the beginning to the last moment. Even if you are aware of the suspense in the story, even those who watched the Telugu hit two years ago, have to watch it again. The biggest improvement is that new audiences will be able to watch an epic case study leading up to the climax. Whether the suspense is predictable or not, the impact it has on the new audience will not go beyond a limit.

Even when the Telugu film was released, it felt like it needed some improvement, part of the explanation in the climax. When the remake was made with a higher budget to reach a wider audience, the director had to strengthen the script even more. If the director had tried to present the story a little more believably, the film would have turned out to be a great experience. The director has brilliantly fitted 'Hitti' to the new backdrop of Jaipur, Rajasthan. Conversations also confirmed that Rajasthani characters are being seen on screen. The dialogues by Girish Kohli supported the film in a big way. Actors including Rajkumar Rao also delivered the dialogues with proper understanding of the styles. However, the use of language was not always accurate. There are minor differences in the way the characters speak towards the climax, which can be comforting as the average audience will not notice them during the flow of the story.

If the film has gone beyond a typical remake, it is actor Rajkumar Rao who is behind it.Rajkumar is an expert who knows how to swim beautifully in any water. Although the character's past is not clearly shown, the actor has shown how intense it is. It is also surprising that the actor is not even seen in a single shot except in character.Only great actors like Rajkumar Rao can maintain the same facial expression throughout a film shot at different times. Even though there are a number of smart people in Bollywood who act with the same facial expressions on different occasions, crying and laughing indistinguishable, the above statement is not in that sense!Sanya Malhotra has done her role well, even though she didn't have much scope for acting. Although this is the first time the actress has appeared with Rajkumar, the chemistry between the two is charming. Milind Gunaji, Dalip Tahil, Jatin Goswami and others handled their roles impressively. Manikandan captured the scenes in such a way that the audience is not allowed to take their eyes off the film. The cinematographer has taken care to capture each and every scene beautifully and to retain the qualities of the genre. John Stewart Eduri's background music and Mithun-Manan Bharadwaj's songs, though not memorable, help make the film enjoyable.Editor Gary BH also played a key role in making the audience understand the character of Vikram and turning it into an investigative thriller.
