The idea of 'Living Together' has emerged as an alternative to the Marriage Contract. The concept of Living Together is two adults living together for their own good. The method of living together, which was already popular in foreign countries, has become widespread in India in recent years. There are many criticisms against it. At the same time, there is a large section of people who support Living Together in the country today.Legally there is no ban on this in India. But the truth is that majority do not accept this as part of social morality. Therefore, it is also true that there are no free conditions for young people to live together. The much-discussed lifestyle of living together has often come up in courtrooms. A similar incident took place in the Punjab-Haryana High Court in Chandigarh the other day.

The court was hearing a complaint filed by an 18-year-old girl and a 20-year-old boy who live together. Both are natives of Yamunanagar, Haryana. But in the end, the court ruled against the plaintiffs. The court opined that if they live together for a few days then it will not be 'living together'. The court pointed out that living together as a substitute for marriage has its own responsibilities and obligations.

The Punjab and Haryana High Court is also the court that has passed a landmark judgment recognizing 'Living Together' months ago.In a new incident, the girl left home and lived with her boyfriend after her family forced her to marry against her will. They haven't even been together for a month. This is what caught the eye of the court.

The complainants demanded that the family members threatened to file a false case against them and therefore provide security. However, the court held that no case of any kind has been filed against the complainants as alleged in the complaint and action cannot be taken against something that is 'predicted' as an impending problem. The new generation is thinking that marriage is a hindrance to enjoying life. The idea that a wife is unnecessary is also increasing. The high court also observed that the consumer culture of use and throw away has affected marital relations. The court also observed that livig together relationships where you can say goodbye anytime have increased. The court observed that the number of young people leaving their families to live with their loved ones has increased in recent years and that such complaints are being filed regularly to seek the support of the court. Finally, the court adjourned after awarding a fine of Rs 25,000 to the complainants.
