Getting into psychology is an interesting thing and Nietzsche's books are very insightful. Friedrich Nietzsche was a German Philosopher of the 19th century. He is considered as one of the greatest philosophers and phyilologists. Here are some of his great works that will help you get into psychology and see the world through a different perspective. Obviously, these books are very hard to follow and understand, but it can widen your views very maturely.
• Thus Spoke Zarathustra. 1892
One of the greatest philosophical book of the last 150 years was published in the year 1892. Nietzsche considers this book as his deepest work. It refers to his idea of the death of god and the Übermensch's appearance.
What good is my happiness! It is poverty and wretched self- complacency But my happiness should justify existence itself.
• On the Genealogy of Morality.
'On the genealogy of morality' shows and confronts the value of the West, a system that captures one's freedom. It mainly deals with us to question the value of our morality. It is made of three essays, first one discussing “Good and bad”, second being about “Bad Conscience” and ending it with Asceticism
• The Anti Christ 1888
“Christianity remains to this day the greatest misfortune of humanity” this sentence alone sums up the main idea of “The Antichrist” published in 1888. So if you are pissed off by this sentence, you might not want to read the rest of it, but consider reading as it might also strengthen your faith towards your religion, when you are faced with questions against it.
• The Birth of Tragedy. 1872
The very first work of Nietzsche published by 1872 argues with the necessity of the art in life. The book covers his enthusiasm for greek tragedy.
• Beyond Good and Evil. 1886
Beyond good and evil published in 1886 by Nietzsche is based on his idea behind his previous work “Thus Spoke Zarathustra” on the subjects of metaphysics and morality. The main idea of this book is the will to power is the very force with all of life and the most powerful instinct in human beings.
