WELL,, moving on.. Recently,, I have picked up a habit of reading google doodles.. and I am enjoying it.. other than being interesting ,they are very informative tooโฆI mean u can actually learn something useful from it.. Just like I learned yesterday about a very special and important person of our historyโฆWithout him Paralympic Games๐จโ๐ฆฝ๐ฉโ๐ฆฝ should not have existed.. We are really thankful of him and since Olympic Games are just around the corner ,,, Google is appreciating and honoured his work for our history by celebrating his 122nd birthday yesterdayโฆ.And the name of this person is SIR LUDWIG GUTTMANN.
I didn't knew about him until yesterdayโฆ.So I thought why not share this useful information with you guys ,, because maybe like me there are many people who don't know about himโฆ Maybe in this way we get to know him and cherish his works and achievements..๐๐โบโบ

Ludwig Guttmann or โPoppaโ was born in a place called Tost( now Toszek in Poland) on July 3 1899. He went to become a renowned Neurologist whose research on spinal cord injuries and neurosurgical work made him one of the most famous neurologists in Germany.
He was Jewish in Germany, and at the time of Nazism in 1933, he was not permitted to practice medicine in the country. With his own life at risk, he managed to escape the country and found solace in England in 1939.
There, he did more research work๐จโ๐ฌ๐จโ๐ฌ, in a condition called PARAPLEGIA. In 1948, he organized an archery contest for wheelchair ๐จโ๐ฆฝ๐ฉโ๐ฆฝusers that became the invention of what is now known as the โPARALYMPIC GAMESโ. Back then, it was known as the โStoke Mandeville Gamesโ which was named after the hospital he was working in.
He declared the first-ever international Paralympic Games open in 1960. His work can never be forgotten in medical field.
He founded Medical Society for Paraplegia and the British Sports Association for the Disabled in 1961.He was Knighted by the Queen in 1966.
This is the little sneak peak in the life of the" Father of Paralympic Games", I hope u guys enjoy it and like this infoโฆ I will be back with another blog..
STAY HAPPY, STAY HEALTHY AND KEEP SHARING INFORMATION,, AND KEEP SUPPORTING EACH OTHER!!!๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐๐๐
