Hello friends, My Name is Aayush and this is my first article that i am sharing on candlemonk, i have so many adventurous experiences which i want to share but this one is my favorite as this beautiful journey was totally unplanned, so lets start it. In 2014 i went to Dehradun (capital of uttarakhand) for my graduation, I was living in a independent 1BHK, it was month of November, one of my friend Himanshu's birthday was on coming saturday so our group of friends decided to celebrate his special day in mussorie, so my 5 friends (Udit, Gulveer, Gaurav, Vicky and Himanshu) came to my room in dehradun on friday evening, and on friday night we decided we will enjoy for 2 days as we were meeting each other after a long long time, after long discussion and chilling moments with some drinks and food we went to sleep, next morning we woke up and got ready for mussorie, in between the journey to mussorie i asked everyone if we cancel our plan to visit mussorie and visit to Lambi Dehar Mines, a horror place near mussorie. As everyone agreed to my decision we went to lambidehar mines, and chilled there for 2 hours, everyone was buzy in taking photos then a idea striked in Vicky's mind and asked everyone if they are interested to go to rishikesh right now, with a mind full of excitement and lust for travelling i agreed to the decision and then we all started our journey to Rishikesh Shivpuri.

In Shivpuri rishikesh we had drinks and started dancing and enjoying , suddenly Vicky stopped the music and told us to that it will be a memorable trip if we visit joshimath where one of our good friend Akash is staying and give him a surprise, firstly we thought that joshimath is so far away and its already getting dark but excitement level was so high that we finally agreed and started our journey to joshimath, when we reached Srinagar we saw that a beautifull fair is going on and we visited the fair and started dancing on garhwali song with local people, after half an hour we continued towards joshimath, after travelling 10-15 k.m from srinagar we saw a leopard on road and we stopped our car, this enriched our excitement but unfortunately when turned on our camera the leopard dissappeared, after a long long journey we reached augustmuni, it was 4:00AM in the clock so we decided to take rest, we slept in the car as we were so tired, next morning we woke up at 9:00AM and when we saw the place we were like oh my god we are in such a beautiful hilly surroundings, we refreshed ourselves and called Akash and surprised him, after one hour he came to augustmuni and we had breakfast funny chitchat, Akash told us that there is a beautifull place here which we must visit, as we surprised him he told that he also want to surprise us, he took us to a beautifull place called Chopta , the road journey towards chopta was really beautifull, we reached chopta and then he told us that here after trekking a little path there is a temple called Tungnath which is very beautiful and i want you all to visit there, we were already so excited and we started the trek with very relax mind , but no one of us was aware of what was coming next, with no preparation, no enough snacks and water we started the trek just because of our excitement as the surroundings and the views were really so beautifull in Chopta, after trekking half k.m everybdoy is like hey akash how much left from here, akash told us that it is just 1 k.m, he lied to make us comfort, he was giving us a really tough surprise.

After one hour of continous trek everybody tired and started scolding akash that its already more than 1k.m, where is that temple bro? Akash said that why you guys are not enjoying the beauty of the nature and enjoy the trek we are just about to reach the temple stay calm guys.. He again fooled us and after taking rest of some minutes we again started the trek, now it was becoming really tough for us to continue as we were already so tired as we came after travelling from so far and not even had slept comfortably last night, but the amazing was that the trek from chopta to Tungnath temple is so much beautiful and magical that a person becomes like he is hypnotized and even after feeling so much tired he still can continue the trek with a spark of excitement in his mind and thats the reason we were getting fooled by Akash, after 2 hours we riched at a point where we  dont even have drinking water left and were so much tired but at this point our curiousity level boosted because after every rest point we realized that the views and the beauty of that place becoming more and more beautiful.

After some time we realized that there's no drinking water left in our water bottles, we were feeling like we are trapped on that trek as there were no shops or any other source of water, if we go back down then our trip will be failed trip, we started scolding akash that he must told us earlier that the trek will be this long and we must carry enough water and food so that can survive the trek, Due to thrist and tiredness Gulveer was not feeling well and as we were on very high altitude we were facing problem in breathing also, the whole excitement and enjoyment became a suffering for us, Vicky and Udit decided that they will not continue the trek anymore and will go back down as it wiil be easier to go down rather to continue the trek, then Gulveer who was not feeling good said that we came here so far now he want to get Tungnath temple's darshan, this hit us up in the mind we thought that if he is showing so much guts even after suffering, why we are getting hopeless, finally we chanted om namah shivaye and continued towards the temple.

With so mcuh funny talks and singing sessions we supported each other mentally and finally saw a shop just before some meters from the temple, Akash started laughing and said i already know that there's shop above i was just watching your reactions, this statement of akash made us so angry and we started shouting on him, after the drama we had a tea break on the shop and we purchased water bottles and finally reached the very very beautifull Tungnath Mahadev Temple.
