1.Marina Beach:
It is the longest beach of Chennai. Its maintained very well by the Chennai corporation and it's usually very crowded.Great beach for enjoyment. Drinks and food available within beach. Visit around 5:30-5:45 pm for great view of sun.
2. Government museum:
It is in heart of the city. Nice collections. Good arrangements. Parking facility available. Must see location.One of the well organised and maintained museum in TamilNadu, India. They have seperate wings and galleries for each section and they have exclusive kids museum which will be good learning and fun for kids.
3. Arignar Anna Zoological Park (Vandalur Zoo):
One is the best Zoo in India. There are many things to say about this Zoo.This Zoo has a huge range of animals in it.The area is very huge, needs atleast an entire day to view all the animals.
4.Valluvar Kottam:
A must see place in chennai. Beautiful Chariot with stones tribute to great ancient poet thiruvalluvar. which is the main attraction, there is nothing to see. The garden is good ,always some fair are going on there. Mainly clothing, house hold items are available.
5.The Connemara Public Library:
The connemara library is located inside the premises of Govt. Museum chennai. One can read a wide variety of books, newspapers and journals here. Oldest library which receive all copy of books, newspapers & periodicals of India.
The library was established in 1896.
6. VGP Universal Kingdom,snow Kingdom and marine kingdom:
It's a wonderful experience overall and worth the money spent. Universal Kingdom is full of rides for every age group. Bring your kids if have to give them good experience of all the rides at one place. It's a good place to hangout especially with family and friends . The Aquarium and the Snow Kingdom was super awesome, It is whole new world. They are well maintained, well organized and neat, The aquarium has an underwater tunnel where you can see the fishes and sharks. Has a great collection of unusual fishes, turtles and sting rays. In my opinion one of the best aquariums in India.
7. Semmozhi Poonga:
Escape from city Life to spend leisure time with family and friends.
this park is spread over a large area with nice spots for taking pictures.
Semmozhi Poonga is covered with big tress and many botanical plants.
8.Artworld Sarala's Art Centre:
The first art gallery in Chennai. Large collection of art works and sculptures. A must for the art lover.
9. Scuba diving at covelong Beach ⛱:
The water is crystal clear and you’ll get to see old shipwrecks and lovely underwater flora.
10. Parasailing:
This adventurous game will leave lasting memories for you. Flying high like a bird over the water lets you experience the cool breezes of the beach from a new level.
