Kadalai mittai/peanut candy is a high protein, healthy dish made with natural ingredients like peanuts, jaggery and cardamom powder. Featuring a sugar-free and oil-free delicious treat that can be enjoyed guilt-free. Most healthy snack for both kids and elders. But the problem lies in their accumulation of pitham. Our body pitham wil being to increase When we consume more nuts, resulting in an imbalance in our bodies and the development of nurmerous aliments. Because of jaggery or vellam(in tamil), can suppress the pitham, kadalai mittai becomes an perfect protein source with no side effects.
Nowadays, children are becoming more addicted to unhealthy, high-sugar, empty-calories foods. These kadalai mittai are made with jaggery, which is healthy sweet that also contains a lot of minerals. Kadalai mittai is not only healthy but also a delicious and contains no unhealthy fat.
Let's start to prepare this beautiful treat for our kids and other at home.

Candy/mittai: 16*
INGREDIENTS
Peanuts - 1 cup
Crushed jaggery/Vellam - ¾ cup
Water - ¼ cup
Cardamom powder/Aelakkaai thool-½ tsp
Aluminum foil - 1
PREPARATION OF KADALAI MITTAI
Step 1 - Take a cup of roasted peanuts with skins removed.
Step 2 - Take the crushed jaggery, water in a pan and bring it to boil.
Step 3 - Let it boil in medium flame and add the cardamom powder.
Step 4 - When the jaggery reaches to a soft bal like consistency add the peanuts.
Step 5 - Then add the peanuts and mix well until they become like a ball or a dough.
Step 6 - Now switch off the flame now and then transfer them to a greased roti board and flatten them gently.
Step 7 - Then place an aluminium foil paper on top and roll them gently to bring even surface all over the mittai.
Step 8 - Cut them to equal squares or any other shapes using a very sharp knife.
Step 9 - Remove that aluminium foil and serve
Now healthy protein rish kadalai mittai is ready
Tips:
Don't cook the peanuts for a long time after adding to the jaggery else they will become chewy and lose their crunchiness
