Hello family

I'm back with another blog. After a long gap. Yesterday was onam. I hope everyone is familiar with onam. It's one of the famous festival in Kerala.

Happy onam to all my candlemonk fam 🌺

In childhood onam celebration was like really awesome. There will be all of our cousins, lot of flowers, new clothes, sadhya and payasam. My favorite payasam is adapradaman , which is many of yours favorite.

Those days was really happy. But nowadays the celebration are fading. 

All of us want some photos and just post in the social media to get views and likes. No other commitments and all. 

In our parents childhood the onam celebration was more pretty. There won't be more Money but they were happy with what they have.

Yesterday I missed the pookkalam. We didn't made one. Amma prepared a simple sadhya. With only limited items. But I ate it with really happy. I missed those cousins who comes home when there is any celebration and any other programs.

I didn't wear new clothes. But in childhood it's compulsory for us to wear new clothes. Me and my brother will bought it before onam days. And wear it in the onam days.

Those days we don't have any phone or camera. We spent our time with family and friends. And in evening we all will sit in front of the TV to watch movies. Or sometimes we got out with our family.

But now everyone is inside their home and inside their phone. No time for family or anything.

I'm really missing those days. Those celebration. Now in our working place is also celebrating onam in a beautiful manner before onam.

And coming to flowers in old days we won't buy flowers just go to the ground and pluck different flowers. But now no one will go out to pluck flowers. Everyone is buying flowers from shops by giving huge amounts. Yes flowers are so expensive. But it's really beautiful.

One of my favorite thing is to make flower in ground. I started checking the designs before onam begins. And at last will find one. But that won't be really beautiful. But I love to do it. But cutting the flowers is a tough job. If there is more cousins then the job won't be too tough.

Once again happy onam dears
