I realized that the story is about an atheist becoming God when I first met the real-life Subash, on whose life story the movie is based. I chose to base my script on the idea that someone who has nearly experienced death and returned is comparable to God because of our initial encounter. Additionally, I made the wise decision to have other filmmakers play supporting roles in the movie, including Khalid Rahman (Unda), Lal Jr. (Driving License), and Soubin (Parava). They were aware of the passing of time and the situation.

It was a lot of fun throughout the whole Manjummel Boys shoot. The director had to literally tell us that the movie was over and we could all go home because we were so delighted to be there that we did not want to leave the set after the shoot!
The Ilaiyaraaja-Kamal Haasan song "Kanmani Anbodu" is placed in such a great way. We didn't cry in the theaters because we were all impacted and started crying when we first heard the song during the spot-edit phase. It is delightful that, over thirty years after its creation, it is sung so frequently these days.
