Sindhu (Aparna Das) and Manikandan (Kavin) met in college and fell in love. As Sindhu becomes pregnant, Manikandan and Sindhu's parents leave them. Manikandan asks Sindhu to get an abortion, but she declines. Manikandan accepts a job in a warehouse out of necessity, and the couple move in together. It feels incredibly natural and convincing when Manikandan smiles at his son, smirks at other people's drama, or even lets his eyes become wet.
