Books are huge ocean of knowledge. It gives a broad way of looking at the things in good and bad way as well. How books made the difference in my life is what I am going to write about today ;-D

“ Reading should not be presented to children as a duty. It should be offered as gift” 

“ Companion” is a perfect word which describe books for me in all aspects. And to be honest not only books but all the stuffs which can be read are companions for me ( By other stuffs I meant comics, magazines, articles, newspaper… and whatever you can think of.) 

Books have always played important role in my life. I still remember my first ever book of my choice was a mystery thriller. I was mesmerized and thrilled. The protagonist in the novel was a detective girl who was kind, patient, intelligent, smart, brave and lovable. All of the characteristics which I wanted in me. She was just perfect in my eyes. I wanted to be her. 

As a kid I created this world of mine in my imagination of course, where I could behave and be like her, more precisely be her. I used to be so happy reading and imagining all of the scenes in my head. The way she used to solve the mysteries, the way she used to think, behave, speak and even her dresses used to inspire me. The best part of the novels for me was the ending of each book without the second thought because in the end good always won over evil.

But such world of course don't exist and it is brutal reality because real world is partially filled with selfish people, people who find enjoyment in others pain, people who aren't kind, who aren't helpful and certainly doesn't behave human. And no matter how hard you try to keep yourself away them, they might cross your path now and then. Here, in this real world it takes a lot for good to win over evil. And I have learnt this lesson in hard ways.

Anyways I am old enough now to understand that imagination and reality are like two poles of earth which can never meet. But step by step I am changing myself to be kind, brave an helpful as much as I can. I am aware that my imagination can never be reality but I try my level hard to live up to my expectation which I had from that character, definitely in my own way:)
