So finally we can take a moment of relief since me and my brother got vaccinated yesterday. What a dreadful and insane this year has been? I mean, who would have thought that people will be afraid of people.
But as its said “ This too shall pass”.So coming back to my experience of getting jab was quite exhilarating since its not less than a blessing considering prevailing situations. But after effects of the vaccine was a bit severe for me. I got high fever and headache while my brother had vomiting and mild fever. Though we got better after taking medicines, but at that moment I realised something which persuades me to write this blog too.
On the night we got vaccinated, my mother was awake full night. And she was so concerned that she couldn't sleep for a moment. She kept on moving from my room to my brother's. And she continued this whole to and fro moment for the entire night. She brought a Glass water, medicines, checked temperature and pampered us with full love and care.
And on that moment I realized how much blessed we are to have such a loving mother. I know all mothers are full of love and care, but we as children do not acknowledge it. We Ignore their yelling and nagging and just get busy in our lives so much that we tend to forget what our parents deserve. I felt luckiest person on the earth as I had someone as caring and loving. Even though she was being there everytime I got ill but the realization of her being with me whole night was something surreal. When I shared this feeling with my brother, he said, he too felt the same way. And then we both gave a hug to our mother and thanked her for being there everytime we needed her.
So what I learnt from the above incident of my life is to give lots of love and care for your parents. They have brought you up with all the love and we should do the same for them too. They deserve every bit of happiness and love. Just try to be there whenever your parents need you or call them up and keep check on them because they deserve it. They don't want your entire day but just some moments in a day filled with concern, care, laughter and love will be sufficient for them.
