Types Of Seo For Beginners
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the organic and unpaid way of marketing your business by improvising your content using certain keywords. It is one of the categories of Digital Marketing. And nowadays, we all know that digital marketing plays a pivotal role in the world of marketing. If you want to know more about the basics of SEO, you can check out my previous blog on ‘Fundamentals of SEO’. In this blog, you will read about 3 types of SEO for beginners.
- ON-Page SEO: On-page SEO is also known as On-site optimization. It means to optimize the content of your webpage. In this, you have to research for your business-specific keywords, and use them in your title, meta description, headings, alt tags, and of course page copy. When you use keywords in metadata, it will help search engines to know about the content of your landing page. And if search engines find your content relevant to what people are searching, it might give your webpage a higher ranking on the search results page.
- OFF-Page SEO: It is also known as Off-site optimization. It has nothing to do with the content of your webpage, like on-page. In this, you have to majorly focus on link-building, which directly impacts trust factor for your business. For those who don't know what link building is, it is working to get other websites to link back to your website. You need to make sure that the websites linking to yours should be reputed one, and relevant to your business. Apart from link building of sites, you can even expand your online network through social media. You can reach out to influencers, or bloggers, and promote your business.
- Technical SEO: Sometimes even when your content is good, you might not get much engagement on your website. One of the reasons can be technical issues. If your site is not user-friendly, has slow speed in loading, and doesn’t work on all devices, then you won't have much traffic and conversions. You should have a website that works on every device, and has fast speed. To improve speed, you should avoid using high-resolution images. If your website is mobile friendly, you might get more traffic to your website because most people have now replaced desktops with mobiles.
As a beginner, you must at least know these SEOs because it will help you grow your online business. And remember that along with content, website's usability and performance also matters.
I hope this helps you!
Thank you.
