There is always a conflict between “what is” and “What should be”. Many times People are satisfied and carried away with “what is” than exploring the beauty of “what should be”.

Many would answer this question with “What is” student life.

1. The age of a student life is ideal time to grasp new things. So, it is time to learn
2. Student life is filled with joy since they have no responsibilities on their shoulders and since the days are not going to be back once they take up the responsibilities they should make use of it to the maximum.
3. Student life is the time where they start making friends and find the true friends of their lifetime friends.

But on a deeper understanding, the “what should be” is the perfect “what is”. So here are the “what should be/is the student life?”

1. The age of a student life is ideal time to grasp new and interesting things. So, it is time not to decide what they should become in future. 5–19 is not an age to decide what they should become in future, rather the time to explore everything they come across. You can not decide what is best for you until you tried everything. Student life should explore everything, not just schooling and being inspired by a hero or real time hero.
2. Students has no responsibilities. But this is also the age where they learn things without ego. And this is exactly the age where they should be taught the moral in life. They should enjoy, but the human morality also should be taught in this age. A kid that grows without hearing a no from their parents for its wishes will never learn to accept a no and may turn out to be an anti social when it faces any rejections in the future. Student life should be a mixture of pain and joy and should learn to handle them both equally.
3. Student life is the time where they make true friends is a myth or a fact that is being claimed without much research. There is no specific time to make friends. You will find your true friend even during your last 10 days of life. Instead, students life is where you are allowed to be friend with anyone from any layer of the society. You go to a school or inter-school competition, get a friend. That is it. You don’t mind what their caste, religion, income, culture or anything. That makes you secular and open to ideas from others. So student life is where you need to make friends from every part of the society.

There is a joy in all these and those adults who missed all these are feeling for not doing those and they cannot do them in their adult life with an identity they have.
