All Time Favourite Chicken Biryani In Simple Steps

ALL ABOUT BIRYANI

The word "BIRYANI" is a favourite for everyone. There are many types of biryani,but here we are going to see about chicken biryani which is the favourite biryani for everyone.In many types we can prepare biryani but dum biryani is the tastiest ever. 

INGREDIENTS:

*1 kg Basmati rice

*1 kg Chicken

*50 grams ginger garlic paste

*Handful mint leaves and coriander leaves

*1 tablespoon kashmiri red chilli powder

*Salt (As required)

*Curd(½ cup)

*Green chilli- 4

*Whole spices-As required

*Groundnut oil(½ cup)

*Onion- 4

*Tomatoes- 4

INGREDIENTS FOR MARINATING CHICKEN

Add 1table spoon Chilli powder,½ tablespoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon salt. Marinate the chicken using the above ingredients for atleast half an hour so that the chicken will taste best with perfect salt and spiciness. 

*Important:Wash the rice for 3 to 4 times so that the starch present in the rice will be left and soak the rice for 30 minutes. 

INSTRUCTIONS:

*Heat a pan and pour oil in it.

*Add whole spices and add chopped onions. Saute it until the onions turns into golden brown colour. Because this golden brown gives a good colour to the biryani.

*Add green chillies,coriander and mint leaves,saute this for 10 seconds.Dont saute for more time because the aroma is important for biryani. 

*Add ginger garlic paste and saute for 10 seconds this gives a good taste for the biryani.

*Then add the chilli powder and the required salt.

*After the oil squeezes out add chopped tomatoes and let it boil.

*Add curd and then add the marinated chicken into it.Saute well for 5minutes so that the water in the chicken comes out.

*Add water double the rice for example if we take 3cups rice take 6 cups water.Once the water starts boiling add the soaked rice into it.

*Now check whether the spiciness and salt we have added are perfect.

*Keep in high flame and stir inbetween so that the rice wont stick in the pan and once the water and rice becomes the same level turn the gas to low flame and close the pan.

*Let it be in dum for 10 minutes. Dont open until that.

*After 10 minutes open the pan and check whether all the water has been observed and the rice is cooked.

*Switch off the stove and our tasty and yummy chicken biryani is ready.

*Serve hot and enjoy it with onion raitha.

*Chicken dum biryani tastes best when served with Onion raitha and Chicken gravy.
