Why Fm Radio Is Not Working Without Earphones

Hello everyone! In this blog is about fm radio…

Fm radio is not working despite having earphone plugged. What could be the possible reasons?

When a FMRadio starts playing music, if you don't have earphones plugged in, you may hear crackling noise instead of the sound. This is due to the fact that the audio signal is converted (compressed) into digital data at a lower bit rate than what was originally broadcasted over air. This causes the audio to distort slightly.

Headphones are only necessary for FM Radio because they act as an antenna which intercepts the waves but if you have a strong signal, just plug in the extUSB to 3.5 jack adaptor and (gently) slide in the stylus in the headphone jack.

If your FM Radio is tuned to a station that does not exist - for example, a frequency that is outside the range of AM/FM radios. You might be able to hear static noise instead of the actual station's audio.

The main reason you can't use FM radio without headphones is because the phone companies opt out of it. It would make the phone heavier and more unattractive if they included built-in antennae. Headphones act as the perfect antenna and are usually more than 90 cm in length – an ideal scenario for picking up FM signals.

If you remove your headphones while listening to FM Radio, you may notice that audio resumes after some time. This is caused by the audio compression algorithm resuming its work, decompressing the compressed data stored in memory.

How to fix FM Radio not working on Android device?

The FM radio works only for those who have earphone connected to their mobile phone. When we switch off the mobile, then it stops playing any music. How to make FM radio work without earphone connection?

FM radio is not working on my android phone without earphone plugged. I tried many solutions provided in internet, but none worked for me. Here's how to fix it.

Step 1 : Open Settings app.

Step 2 : Toggle both Wi-fi and Bluetooth connections ON and OFF.

Step 3: If Wi-fi and Bluetooth is ON and still not working, try connecting your phone via USB cable.

If above solutions don't help, then follow these steps.

Step 4 : In order to find out whether earphones are switched ON or OFF, turn on your mobile completely and keep it on for 10 minutes. Now, open the Sound options menu in your phone.

Step 5 : Check if your earphones are switched ON. If they are ON, then try switching them OFF.

Step 6 : Restart the mobile and check again whether the problem is solved.

If the problem still persists, then you need to contact your service provider.
