Which Flowers Are Used To Make Colors

Hello everyone! In this blog is about flowers…. 

Blue:

Blue is derived from two different flower types. One type includes blue-violet and other flowers. These flowers have pigments called indoles. Indoles are basically chemical compounds containing nitrogen and hydrogen. They are responsible for the color of flowers, including the blue ones. The other type include the violet flowers. In these flowers, the pigment is called flavones.Flavones are also known as anthocyanin. Anthocyanins are responsible for the color purple and red in flowers.

Yellow:

Yellow comes from three different flowers. The first type are chamomile flowers. Chamomile flowers are a flowering plant in the daisy family native to Europe and Asia. Yellow is achieved by flavonoids, and they are responsible for producing the yellow pigment in many plants. Another type of yellow flower is sunflower.Sunflowers are grown throughout the world in temperate regions. They are not only used to provide food for humans, but also for animals. The third type of yellow flower is marigold. Marigolds are flowering herbs that produce bright yellow flowers. Their active ingredient is a derivative of carotenoid, a group of fat-soluble pigments.

Red:

Red comes from a wide range of flowers. The first type of red flower is bloodroot. Bloodroot is a perennial herbaceous plant native to North America. It produces numerous small white blooms that turn red when it goes to seed. The second type of red flower is amaranth. Amaranth is a highly nutritious pseudocereal grain cultivated worldwide. Its seeds are used to make flour and pasta in Italy, Mexico, and Spain. The third type of red flower is rose.

Orange:

Orange flowers come from the mandarin orange tree. This type of orange is produced by the fruit of the mandarin orange tree, Citrus reticulata. Most parts of the citrus tree are edible. The juice is rich in vitamin C and citric acid. Citrate is an important mineral present in citrus fruits.

Purple:

Purple comes from several different flowers. One type of purple flower is peony. Peonies are a deciduous shrub native to eastern China, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, Siberia, Turkey, and Iran. Peonies are often used to decorate gardens and landscapes. Other types of purple flowers are cornflower. Cornflowers are a type of annual herbaceous plant. They are native to the United States, Canada, and Argentina. Most varieties of cornflower are pink in color. The third type of purple flower is violets.

Violets belong to the genus Viola. They are commonly found in cool climates around the world. Violet flowers can be either single or double.

White:

White comes from the following flowers: Anemone, Snowdrop, Narcissus, Lily, Hydrangea, Dandelion, and Daisy. Many of these flowers are beautiful additions to any garden or landscape. Anemones are a type of spring wildflower.  Snowdrops are a type of bloom that originates from the snowdrop family. They are native to both sides of the Atlantic Ocean.
