Hello everyone! In this blog is about traveling…
Sleep is really important for us because after sleeping our body takes time to restore, refresh and prepare for the next day. When we travel, we have to take care of ourselves before starting a journey, we need to eat well, drink enough water and sleep properly. So, here are some tips about how to enjoy a good night’s sleep while traveling.
Get a proper mattress:
When you get a hotel room, try to get a comfortable bed where you can rest well. If you’re going to spend lots of money on hotels, then go for a quality hotel – not just any cheap hotel room. Make sure you pay attention to the size of the mattress, the thickness of the pillow, the firmness and comfort of the sheets and how much space there is between the headboard and wall.
Sleep in a different environment:
Try to change your sleeping envirnment at least once a week. If possible, sleep in another room or even outside. You may find that your sleeping patterns start to feel disrupted if you stay in the same place too long.
Have a quiet room:
If you’re staying somewhere with people around, make sure your room is quiet before you fall asleep. Turn off your phone and any kind of device that might emit noise. Use soft lighting (no bright lights) and cover yourself with warm blankets.
Eat well:
It’s hard to sleep without eating! Your stomach starts to rumble and it’s hard to resist the temptation to reach for snacks. However, it’s best to keep foods high in protein and fiber out of your belly as they will keep hunger pangs away for longer. Try to pack a healthy snack bag with almonds, dry fruits and nuts to munch on throughout the trip.
Drink enough water:
To avoid feeling dehydrated, make sure you drink plenty of water before and during trips. Don’t wait until you’re thirsty; drink a full glass of water 15 minutes before bedtime.
Take a shower:
Taking a hot bath or shower before bedtime helps relax muscles and ease aches and pains. A clean, relaxing bath is a great way to unwind and help you sleep well.
Caffeine is not recommended for people trying to get a good night's rest. Caffeine keeps us alert, but its effects do not last long once we fall asleep. A cup of decaf coffee just before bedtime may help you feel more relaxed, but stay away from coffee right before bedtime. In fact, studies show that coffee drinkers aren't able to fall asleep as well as non-coffee drinkers.
