Interesting Facts About Winter Season

Hello everyone! In this blog is about winter season..

We need longer sleep in winter:

If we're not sleeping enough, our brain won't receive enough rest and recuperation. As a result, we'll feel tired and sluggish throughout the day. Since it's harder to sleep when the weather gets warmer, we actually need more sleep in winter. This is because heat decreases the amount of melatonin that we produce naturally. Melatonin is a hormone that helps us fall asleep and stay asleep.

Plants tend to look healthier in winter:

Since plants use sunlight much more efficiently in cooler temperatures, they tend to look healthier and greener in winter. Also, since plants need water to thrive, they are able to conserve water more efficiently in cooler temperatures.

Cold weather promotes physical activity:

As mentioned earlier, winter provides easier access to outdoor activities. People can go skiing, sledding, skating, ice fishing, and many other things outdoors without having to deal with extreme heat. Even though people are physically active, they do it indoors because their body temperature remains constant. But in winter, it is so much easier to exercise outside, keeping our bodies warm.

Our mood changes in winter:

We experience different moods in winter than in summer. While our lives move forward in summer, they slow down and become more relaxed in winter. There is less pressure to accomplish goals; instead, we take advantage of the slower pace of winter to relax and enjoy ourselves.

Less work in winter:

When the job market is good, everyone wants a nice paycheck. However, when jobs are scarce and unemployment rates increase, people are willing to do almost anything just to make ends meet. In these times, employers cut back on staff hiring and firing. As a result, employees receive fewer assignments and responsibilities.

As the days become colder, many people experience headaches, stomach aches, coughing, sore throats, colds, flu's, sinusitis, ear infections and respiratory issues.

Our immune systems are weakened during the winter months. We develop less antibodies, making us susceptible to illness and disease.

The winter environment affects how we think, feel and act. Our thoughts, emotions and behavior change along with the weather.

When we're indoors, we miss out on the benefits of being outside in nature. Being able to look at the stars, smell the fresh air, hear the birds chirping and see the trees swaying in the wind gives us a sense of well-being and balance.
