Hello everyone! In this blog is about hyper pigmentation…

Hyperpigmentation is a term used to describe any kind of skin discolorations that occur when skin cells over-produce melanin, a pigment found in the skin. Sometimes these dark spots are called freckles or sunspots. Hyperpigmentation occurs when the body produces more melanin than what’s necessary for its normal functioning. Skin color is determined by how much melanin is produced in the body; if there's more melanin than the body needs, then excess melanin gets deposited onto the skin surface where it creates a brownish, yellowish, pink, or black spot.

What causes hyperpigmentation?

Melanocyte activation is the process of increasing production of melanin in the skin. When there is increased stimulation of keratinocytes (the skin cells), they begin producing more melanin.

Can we prevent hyperpigmentation? Yes! There are ways to control melanin production in order to reduce hyperpigmentation without harming the skin. A lotion containing hydroquinone, a powerful anti-hyperpigmentation agent, is often applied topically. Hydroquinone is a synthetic derivative of kojic acid – a natural ingredient that aids in preventing hyperpigmentation by reducing melanin production. Another way to prevent hyperpigmentation is by getting enough sleep at night, since lack of quality sleep leads to high levels of cortisol, a  hormone associated with increased melanin production. Another popular non-toxic treatment is topical retinoic acid, which reduces melanin production. Retinoic acid comes in various forms. If the skin is oily and prone to acne breakouts, a 0.05 percent solution may be helpful. In case of dry skin, 1 percent solutions work best.

Do you know anything about alovera?

Alovera is a natural product derived from green tea seeds. It contains catechins, flavonoids, caffeine, epicatechin gallate, epigallocatechin gallate, and polyphenols. Alovera helps protect the skin against oxidative damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals are unstable molecular structures that cause DNA damage and lead to aging. One of the major benefits of using alovera is that it helps to reduce inflammation, promote collagen synthesis, strengthen hair roots and nails, decrease wrinkles around the eyes, and boost immunity.

How does alovera help reduce hyperpigmentation? Alovera contains antioxidants that fight free radicals. These molecules have the potential to inhibit tyrosinase activity, thereby blocking the formation of melanin.

Alovera is a natural product containing powerful antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. It also contains ingredients proven to help reverse skin aging, reduce redness and dark spots caused by sun damage, and fade scars. Alovera helps prevent the formation of free radicals, which cause discolorations and breakouts, while supplying essential fatty acids, vitamin A, C, E and B-complex vitamins to promote cellular regeneration and repair.

Here's how to use Alovera:

* Place two drops under each eye twice daily and let sit for 5 minutes before washing off.

* You may also apply directly to blemishes using a cotton pad soaked in Alovera and allow to dry completely.
