How To Get Rid Of Sun Burn?

1. Drink lots of water (and not just during the summer)

The reason why you get burnt is because your skin produces vitamin D when exposed to sunlight. If you don't have enough vitamin D, your body can't absorb the calcium that's needed to build strong bones. Your body then starts making extra amounts of this hormone because it thinks there isn't enough calcium in your diet. Calcium is stored in your muscles, but they're only used if you need them to do heavy lifting. So what does this mean? You need to drink plenty of water to flush out these extra hormones.

2.Use a sunscreen with zinc oxide:

Zinc oxide is a great way to protect against sunburns because it reflects UV radiation away from the skin. This makes it easier for your skin to produce vitamin D in its natural state rather than burning under the intense rays of the sun. Plus, it helps prevent cancerous cells from forming. Sunscreen should always contain at least 15% zinc oxide.

3. Wear protective clothing:

You might think that wearing long sleeves and pants would keep you safe from burns since you're covered up, but that doesn't always happen. When you are outside working in the hot sun, wear a T-shirt or tank top, long-sleeved shirt, hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. These things will block some of the UV rays bouncing off of the ground. Also, make sure that your clothes aren't too loose fitting because light fabrics help reflect heat back into the air.

4.Remedies for sunburn :

This is a technique used by professional skincare practitioners. To heal sun damage, we use a mixture of raw honey and lemon juice. This works best if you apply it right after you finish your routine shower. Apply it gently to the affected area using circular motions. Massage in slow circles until the treatment shows results. Then add some coconut oil (not too much) and massage again with circular movements. Let it dry completely and then wash off with warm water.

5. Cooling off:

To remove heat bumps from sunburns, you should take time out of your day to cool down. This can make a world of difference in terms of how fast the skin heals. If you have a cooler at home, then try using that instead of going outside. You may want to use some sort of aloe vera gel, vitamin E oil, or a cold compress on your face if you don't have access to a cooler.

6.Moisturize:

Moisture is needed to heal any kind of burn, but in this case, it's not just about moisturizing your skin - it's about moisturizing the air around you too. When you're outdoors, keep yourself hydrated by drinking water frequently. Avoid sipping alcohol, tea, coffee, and sodas. They all dehydrate your body.

7.Topical ointments:

When topical ointments are used on top of burns, they help to promote healing by helping the injured skin retain moisture. Ointments work best when applied directly to the affected area and left on until they dry. Once the ointment has dried, you'll need to gently rub it into the skin and reapply often.
