When Sati was born again as the daughter of Himachal, she did severe penance to get Shiva in the month of Shravan itself.  Shiva was pleased and again received him in the form of a husband.  During the churning of the ocean, when the hustle and bustle came out, Shiva took the poison in his throat. 

 Harmful contamination reached his throat and became Bhushan.  Shiva became Neelkanth.  Legend has it that the gods performed Jalabhishek to pacify the heavy poison collected around Shiva's neck.  That time of Shiva Abhishek was Shravan.  It is only in Shravan, the art journey of Shiva devotees to Kanwar. 

 Grateful tour to Shiva.  On the way to Haridwar and other Shiva dhams, devotees will be seen carrying colorful Kanwar's on their shoulders and walking on foot. Artistically decorated Kanwar with colored papers, wax, with peacock feathers.  If you see them, you will feel that the color collages are Kanwar's.  Kanwar's are not kept on the ground. 

 When the kanwariyas rest, they are placed on planks made of tree branches on the side of the road.  Shiva is the god of beauty.  The art of Shiva is sung in 'Sangeet Makarand'.  After the dance, Shiva played the damaru.  From the sound of the damru, the word Brahma sounded.  

This sound reverberated fourteen times and there were fourteen sutras of speech power of grammar.  In dance, the verses of the universe, and the burst of expression are all hidden.  When Maharishi Vyagrapada took the grammar element from Shiva, Panini became the conductor of the tradition of this Maheshwara Sutra.  Kalidas has described the dance of Shiva in Malavikagnimitra as a yajna pleasing to the eyes of the deities. 

 Dance cannot be imagined in low light, yet Shiva chose Sandhya to dance in the dark.  But think, what illuminates the darkness?  From Shiva only!  I imagine Uma Viraj, the mother of the world, on the gem-studded throne has been  Vagdevi's veena has chirped.  

And lo, Indra also played the flute.  Vishnu mridang and Brahma are giving rhythm with Kartal.  Bhagwati Rama is singing.  Wearing the moon, Shiva started playing the drum.  The sky started revolving with the stars traveling all around.  

That is it, the brilliant art form of Shiva.  Although Shiva is fierce, the evening dance is gentle and captivating.  Maharishi Arvind says that if you go to the temple located in Chidambaram in the south, then pay attention.  Here is the sky-form of Nataraja.  Here is Tumblr, the original originator of music, and Narada, the singer of Deva Katha.  It is the Triveni form of meditation place of music, grammar, and dance.  

Shiva is associated with the rhythm of creation.  It is in the rhythm that the arts attain perfection.  The word 'Layanalingmuchyate' has come up in the Skanda Purana.  The origin of 'Ling' means rhythm.  That is why in the worship of only Linga, both Parvati and God are worshipped.  

Shiva in the form of Triguna Swami also makes unique euphemisms of art.  With the qualities of Sat, Raja, and Tama.  When I look at the bel leaves being offered to them, my mind goes to this transcendent art form of them.  The one who attains the feeling is beyond the three Gunas. 

 There is also a feeling of creation, maintenance, and destruction of the three forms of Shiva in the three leaves joined together in the bel leaves.  It is also a sign of a sound 'Om' produced from the three sounds 'A', 'U', 'M', and Tripurari Shiva is also a trident with three eyes.  Shiva means perfection.
