Make sure your privacy settings are set to maximum.  Never make your birthday, birth anniversary, or mobile number your password.  Do not put your personal information on your Facebook profile.  Do not make home address, phone number, cell phone number, or date of birth public.  If you don't know someone on Facebook, don't add them to your friend list.

  Never give your username and password to untrusted third parties.  Keep the computer and operating system up to date.  If someone says that someone close to you is in trouble, always confirm it by calling them directly.  When selling the phone, delete the data and restore it to factory settings.  Never send personal information such as bank account details, PINs, or passwords via WhatsApp.  Avoid downloading files from unknown numbers.
