To roam, people like to go to such places, which are quiet and relaxed away from the crowd. I also like such places very much. So after reaching Landsdowne, I felt that something new should be explored.
During this, I came to know about Bhairavgarhi temple which is situated a short distance from Landsdowne. If you want, you can go to visit this temple located in Kirtikhal village even though you are missing. Kaal Bhairav is worshiped in this temple.
This temple is very grand and beautiful. It is difficult to reach this place, but despite this, devotees keep coming and going. The climb to Bhairavgarhi temple is three to four kilometers, which starts from Kirtikhal. This climb is straight and difficult, due to which there is fatigue, and challenges have to be faced from place to place, despite knowing all this, I had decided that I must go to this place.
Have to go Apart from the temple at this place, the surrounding scenery and serene atmosphere can mesmerize anyone. What was it when I reached Rishikesh? After a short rest, Kirtikhal via Gattughat and Chelsea. Gatghat comes in the way of Neelkanth Mahadev.
So once it came to mind that why not go there and see Shiva, but due to lack of time, we went ahead and crossed Chelusen and reached our appointed place Kirtikhal. This place is very rich in nature and also very close to Delhi, people who come from Delhi have to first reach Kotdwar, then walk through Kirtikhal.
It comes under the Pauri Garhwal district, which is known for its biodiversity along with tourism. This is what attracted me the most. Before starting the climb to the temple, I met some people in the village, who told me about this.
Told many important things about the place. He told that Bhairavgarhi is one of the 52 bastions of Garhwal and the Bhairavgarhi temple situated here is a big center of faith of the people. By the way, let us tell you that the real name of Bhairavgarhi is Langurgarh.
It was seven o'clock in the morning when I started climbing from Kirtikhal to the Bhairavgarhi temple. Despite being beautiful, the whole road was giving a sense of inaccessibility again and again. To be honest, this place is very important in terms of trekking, camping, and nature walking. I really liked this place. So, having reached here, had a good time.
We could have come back if we wanted but decided to stay at this place for one more day to fulfill our camping hobby and the next morning we thought of returning and again reaching Rishikesh via Kirti Khal and then to Delhi. This short journey of two to three days was full of adventure.
