Exercise and a balanced diet are known to have health benefits, but doing creative things like painting or drawing can keep your mind active and improve your quality of life. Here are a few ways that art can improve one's physical and emotional well-being.


Promotes stress reduction: Anxiety or stress are often symptoms of mental health disorders. The act of painting emotionally frees the mind, allowing it to unwind and let go of all the challenges that contribute to high levels of stress.

Teachers evaluated the students' proficiency in English, music, art, and design. Last but not least, the kids indicated whether one or both parents participated in these activities, ranking it from "not at all" to "almost every day."


The children who often participated in the arts were then paired with one or more children who did so less frequently or not at all, but who otherwise had a fairly comparable profile. The children were matched according to a variety of criteria, including gender, ethnicity, and the educational and career status of their parents.

Children who participated in arts-related activities on a daily basis were considerably more likely to have greater levels of self-esteem than those who did not, according to the study's matched sample. When people query me, "What is expressive arts?" I explain to them that it is a method of learning that starts in infancy. Each of us is involved in the expressive arts in some way! Is it not...?

Early learning (in an educational setting) is characterised by inquisitive play and the use of the arts. We had free access to "learning stations" inside of a classroom, including areas for art-making, theatre, dancing, reading, storytelling, music, and even napping, just like the classic alchemists of old, who would work/explore and then sleep—simmering in the psyche. In this way, the arts serve as a medium for the development of social, emotional, cerebral, and physical skills. Learning has multiple aspects, including the visual, aural, and tactile.
