Here are the few steps to get start with web development, the correct way !

As beginner just take the general ideas before starting and list them from easiest to hardest and think of them every time you learn new.Learning to implement new features is more important than learning every single thing, My personal advice is that don't read theory or make notes rather implement even if you don't remember it.

• Start with HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) and CSS.Make is lots of basic website , landing pages portfolio etc. Think of smaller ideas or approach people around you who might get value from a website. Make your CSS concept clear no matter how much time it takes because CSS is a huge concept and most beautiful thing of web development.

• Buy a cheap domain ,host the project on netlify and connect the code , see the project live in action and fall in love with the process.Only then move forward.
• Learn Javascript. Everything about it.This will help you outside of web dev as well -everything from machine learning , it's a great side-skill to have. Most front-end frameworks are in javascripts ,which will also help you later.
• Create a Basic server with Node Js/express Js Try to play around with authentication,security ,routing etc. Basic server knowledge is always important- most website have a server + some complex logic behind.
• Learn the Basic of a framework. Start with bootstrap and make your way up to react or angular. A lot of things are easier to implement using a framework ,so get some basic knowledge even if you don't want dive deep right now!
• Play around with APIs . Take anything out of the blue ,read the documentation, and try to implement it,If you have a project in mind ,think of services that will make your product better :maps calling texting location ,travel, food ,etc.There's an API doc for literally everything.
• Try out databases . Local +remote. Firebase is the winner if you are looking for live support ,notification analytics etc. MongoDB and postgressSQL are also widely used , so you can try that as well.
• Make stuff . Don't just learn and read , but implement everythings as you go. Go to hackathons ask friends , team up with random people and make somethings super cool. Learn along the way and use those skills to get closer to your goals: Interships .Jobs, Freelancing Startup, etc.

Note: If you have good friend circle or a Team you will learn fast . Its fun to work together .
