“You never understand life until it grows inside of you.” – Sandra Chami Kassis

Pregnancy resembles riding a rollercoaster. It has numerous ups and downs. Briefly, you'll appreciate being pregnant, the next moment you’ll complain about being pregnant. Your hormones will make you feel like an insane lady. Here in this blog, I’m going to bestow to you my pregnancy journey.

It was on our way back home after our trip to Alappuzha my significant other told me " I think you are pregnant" at that point I recalled that I skipped my periods that month by 4 days. I was lethargic all through our 2 days excursion and I was ravenous constantly. we got back to Chennai and I caught a cold and fever. We hung tight for an additional 10 days and afterward I took the pregnancy test and I got two pink lines. Yes, I got pregnant after 5 months into my marriage.

I had blended inclination about my pregnancy, I was overwhelmed when I saw those pink lines however then it stressed me a bit. Different considerations continued going through my head like "Am i ready to deal with this pregnancy?" " will I be a decent mother?" however my hubby consoled me saying " we will go through this journey together, don't stress I’ll assist you with all that I can" To be straightforward, without him it would have been much hard for me all through my pregnancy.

we consulted our gynecologist the following day. we took the blood test and the

results came. All was entirely great. but then came the morning sickness stage. It was horrendous. Indeed, even the flavor of water made me vomit. I can't cook due to my morning sickness. I was feeling regretful in light of the fact that my better half woke up ahead of schedule to prepare nourishment for me, he put together his lunch himself. It went more terrible that I began spewing blood since vomiting ceaselessly. At that point, my hubby called my mother in law to take care of me. My mom couldn't come in because my granddad passed away that month.

Firrst trimester was horrible, I slept throughout the day and I can’t even lift my head because of my queasiness. My sour candy helped throughout my first trimester. Then we took NT scan and blood test. When the results came we caught of glimpse of our baby and my husband heard the heartbeat

During the second trimester blood test we got a sour message that I have hypothyroidism however in gentle level and I need to take pills all through my pregnancy. I have no clue about how I grew such condition. At that point my hubby rigorously denied me from eating outside. My pregnancy craving kicked in right at that moment. I craved for all undesirable stuff like pizza, pasta, frozen yogurts, chicken, espresso. To be straightforward I have never tasted pizza and pasta and never truly loved it. Before pregnancy I even asked why individuals are hyping up pizza when it looks so appalling. I generally thought pizza as an overrated food. Yet, everything turned  topsy-turvy when I got pregnant. Pregnancy cravings are really intriguing, blame the hormones. The pleasant thing about second trimester is that I felt my baby’s kicking.

Third trimester was eventful. We moved to our new house and when we settled the pandemic entered India. Then my hubby came home from office with a sweat news that he’ll be working from home starting next week. I was so happy but then they announced the one day lockdown on my birthday. Before we thought that the report  about corona virus as just hoax, yet the lockdown somewhat changed our opinion. We moved to our hometown to escape the disease.

Fews days after we moved to our hometown the pandemic became widespread in almost all parts of India. As my hubby worked from home we had so much time for ourselves. We watched almost all movies in OTT platforms. Acid reflux was another problem I faced during third trimester.

During the 9th month scan my doctor told me that the baby’s weight is on the higher side and I have reduce my sugar and oil intake, because if the baby’s weight increase at the same rate I might have to undergo c section delivery. Then only I realized the importance of walking during pregnancy.

Few days before my labor I had bloody discharge so I went to my doctor and she said that my labor is near and I have to be careful. Then on 27th of may at around 2.45am I noticed a watery discharge and realized that my water broke. We rushed to our hospital and I got admitted at around 4am. I had no pain so they gave me medicines to induce pain. I got slight pain at around 6.30 am and it began to heighten.

Then at around 9.30 am we welcomed our baby boy. He weighed 3.1kg and looked completely like his father. That’s all about my pregnancy and labor journey.
