These days almost all know what is kpop and it has been a trendy topic everywhere. Kpop means Korean pop which now has really become popular internationally. 

I am from North-eastern part of India and Kpop has been quite popular here since the early 2000s. I remember my, the first K-drama in our state or maybe the whole Northeast was ‘Classic’ then ‘Autum in my heart’ and from then on it never stopped. It was so popular that even our local channels started to play K-dramas and songs. People were buying CDs, downloading and even renting to watch latest K-dramas and songs. Arirang channel was available at that time in our local cable so it really was booming in our state, it was every youths hot topic.

So fast forward to 2019, a popular Kpop group called KARD organised a concert in India, now that is a once in a life time opportunity to attend a Kpop concert. The most exciting thing for me was that they organized one of their concert on the city I was studying so I did not waste my time hesitating, I called my sister and planned to attend together. 14th of July 2019 was the day of the concert, we were all excited so we went out on 13th July to a Kpop restaurant to treat ourselves and waited for the next day to come.

On 14th of July we got up early in the morning had our breakfast and went to KFC to have lunch and head out for our concert. We reached the venue and we waited patiently eventhough our queue was long and while we were all waiting we heard a news that KARD was arriving at the venue now! So all of us was screaming and cheering excitedly and saw a black car I do not remember the name of the car roll up to the venue but unfortunately we could not see their face. But we were all so excited, that the time we waited in queue felt short. Once we got our ticket and wristband, we entered the venue and waited for our turn for meet and greet. When our turn came, me and my sister we were so nervous that we forgot to high five the members we just took a photo and came back. That was a bit embarrassing but meeting them face to face everyone would have been star struck. Each member of the group was beautiful and handsome, they were friendly and very humble too.

After the meet and greet we all gathered in the venue, while waiting we all were enjoying their songs that were being played, practicing fanchants with some strangers who were also fans too, as we were all just enjoying, they came to the stage and performed like they did in music video. They were so good, they could dance yet sing properly, they could literally do both in India's hot summer I feel like they were not sweating at all. Watched them performed, give speech, played games and we were all just enjoying and it seemed like it came to end.

I am grateful that I attended it as the very next year pandemic happened. My sister was planning to go on a trip and attend another kpop concert but I guess the universe let us attend atleast 1 Kpop concert in our life. I am grateful to KARD for choosing India and the city I was studying at for their concert for because of this I was able to attend atleast 1 Kpop concert.
