Listening to the podcasts are my new way to spend my leisure time wisely, not that I made it a compulsion, it's just a one of the productive hobby I found in disguise.

Also I found podcasts more nostalgic because I kind of jinx it with my old radio days where I used to enjoy and terribly love radio stations and songs and conversation.

Nostalgia!!!!

Any who coming to the point where I keep listening to the different podcasts that I found interestingon, and lately I was all for breaking productivity hacks and staying motivated, and positive perception and all of that and then I came across to this podcasts which figuratively changed my perception towards my brain and it's functioning and the hormones and stuff.

A little did I know some of the brain functioning and wiring when I was in 12th grade but the value that this podcasts keep in front of me was immaculate.

It seems like I am bragging things up ,but you best believe I am not.

So let me start with neural functioning of the brain.

You see its crazy how our neural functions and actions of the brain entirely depends on hormones secretions. And most importantly it's the chain of many hormones that sets the reaction and not only one.

To even make it simple let's say for an instance: That you are awarded as the best student in the class and you are extremely happy about it. So you feel happy not because of the only happy region in your brain gets activated, rather it's neural circuit in the brain that gets activated in particular sequence and sets a chain reaction so that you feel happy.

These brings to the point where we discuss the hormones that are primarily associated for generation particular emotion.

Serotonin is responsible for valuing things, the things that you are grateful for. Also it calms you down. Make you rethink your decision and examine your decision.

Dopamine is the feel good hormone. When you do a physical activity, there is a rush of dopamine in our body. Also dopamine is the king of all hormones, because it sets at the heart of motivation. However higher amount of dopamine, means the person is very impulsive in action.

For eg: you are scrolling through your phone on Amazon and let's say you got this super amazing dress, the click that you made to buy later or add to cart decides whether you are impulse buyer or not.

When both serotonin and dopamine are balanced in an individual he or she can be called a balanced individual.

Also, when serotonin is found lesser that person is more likely to suffer from stress, anxiety or depression.

Also there are amygadala the fear centre in the brain and oxytoxin in the body that plays a vital role in maintaining our happiness, basically caters to every single thing in life.

Soon we will discuss in the next blog with the deadliest disease it may lead when those hormones got imbalanced in the body.

Thankyou.
