No,no,no,a big NO should be the answer when your ex asks you after breakup,"can we still be friends?".

Many of you must be thinking that no we are really good friend, we have great understanding ,we ended our relationship on good terms but still keeping your ex in your life can be proven to be a big setback.

Its like always having that one string attached to your past throught which problems can creep in your life.

First we will talk about what if you have ended your relationship on good terms.Thats a relief but the sad truth is you will never move on.You will always have that hope inside you which will say that wait for sometime and this relationship will work again which will stop you from dating someone else.Your mind will even reject a perfect person because of this.So if you wanna start fresh then you have to cut those strings.It might hurt for a little while but after that it will be rainbows and unicorns.

Now we will talk about what if you end your relationship on bad terms.So first of all there is a very low chance that you both will be friends and even if you still be friends following are problems you will face.

• You will feel the pain of ending the relationship everytime you talk to them.
• You will never stop thinking about them or who was responsible for the breakup,inshort that person will become the reason for your overthinking.
• There may be chances of that person making you believe that you were responsible for whatever bad has happened in your relationship.
• Your feeling will never completely go away if you keep talking to them.

Lastly it is not just about you or you present feelings but also your future.Whoever you may date and no matter how open minded the other person is at some point it will bother them that you are still friends with your ex.This creates a fear in their mind,they will start feeling that they may loose you or you may go back to your ex.And as it is said pain shouldnt be permaneny it should be a small shock to the heart through which we can recover.So its not just about anyone else it is just about you and it should only be about you.

In rare case if you have stuck up your mind on making the relationship work and dont wanna moveon,then you can continue talking to your ex.
