It is the 2nd surah of the Quran.It is one of the longest surah from the Quran.
The word baqarah is an arabic word which means the cow.
Surah baqarah constitutes of three stories
All this stories are intertwine into a single story..
One millionaire was assasinated during the times of Musa(a.s). When the people saw the dead body of the millionaire they started fighting among themselves as to know who killed the millionaire.One of them suggested to ask Musa(as) about this situation as he(musa as) claims to be the prophet.Then Musa(as) went and asked Allah swt about this. Allah swt asked the people to find a cow which never ploughed,young, and lastly it should be yellow colour and slaughter it and place its piece on the dead body.
As this was happening there was another story of a an old man with a wife and son so he told his wife he has nothing to live behind for them except for a cow.He told his wife that he will leave this cow in the mountain after some years when his son reaches a certain age he can go and get it and sell it for the best price and you can inherit whatever you get from it.
After some years when the boy reached a certain age his mother told him to go to the mountain an get the cow and sell it in the market for say 5 dirhams.
While going to the market the boy finds a man who was willing to give more money for the cow say 10 dirham..The boy says “I will have to go and ask my mother”.and goes back to his mother after coming back the man says “I will give u 15 dirhams” .The boy again replies "I will have to go and ask my mother".This continue until the man will say “ I will give gold of the weight of the cow”. The boy again replies “I will have to ask my mother”.
The boy reaches the market in seach of that man who promised to give him gold.
On the other hand the people who were searching the cow to solve the millionaire mystery comes across the boys cow which was the same cow which Allah swt has meantioned to Musa(as)so the people buy the cow from the boy for the gold weighing the cows weight.
The people then brings the cow near the millionaires body and slaughter it. Takes the piece of the cow and touches the dead body .
The dead body wakes up the people asks who has murdered you the dead body points a finger at his nephew and dies.
The millionaire's nephew had murdered him in order to inherit all his money.
Once the people got to know about the nephew they punished him and he was unsuccessful in inheriting the millionaire savings.
