Orthostatic Hypotension

 

If someone feels dizziness or nausea due to low blood pressure or falls unconscious while standing, it is called orthostatic hypotension. when there is not enough blood supply in the cyclic artery due to adequate blood pressure then the person may have chest pain or a heart attack. When there is insufficient blood supply in the kidneys, kidneys cannot remove wastes like urea and creatine from the body, due to which their quantity in the blood gets increased.

Therefore, instead of ignoring such symptoms, it is important to be cautious. It is a medical condition, called hypotension in medical language. During low-blood pressure problem, blood flow to the arteries and veins begin to decrease. This condition becomes more severe when the blood flow is significantly reduced, due to which oxygen and nutritious substances do not reach the vital organs of the body, especially the brain. Normal BP ranges between 90/60 mmHg to 120/80 mmHg, but low blood pressure and low BP are identified by its symptoms and signs. This is because some people have BP less than 90/60 mmHg, but they do not show signs of low blood pressure. Causes

 

There are several reasons behind the problem of low blood pressure. These mainly include mental stress, feeling of insecurity, dehydration which reduces blood volume, excessive blood donation, internal bleeding, deep injury which leads to increased blood flow, pregnancy, high Blood pressure medication, depression medicine, cardiovascular diseases, infections, allergies, disorders in the nervous system such as Parkinson's disease etc.

 

Symptoms

 

When the blood pressure is low, the body gets many signs, as well as many symptoms. It may include vertigo on sitting or lying down, weakness, blurred vision, fatigue, fainting, dizziness, chest pain, breathing problems, irregular heart rate, fever over 101 F, headache, neck numbness, Severe pain in upper back, sputum with cough, diarrhea, vomiting and allergic reactions are included.

 

Treatment

 

If the blood pressure of a healthy person is less than normal and the symptoms of low blood pressure are not seen, then he does not need treatment. At the same time, if talking about a person suffering from low blood pressure, then his treatment depends on the cause and symptoms. Here are some common remedies. When symptoms of fall in blood pressure are seen when sitting and lying down, then the feet should be kept above the heart level. At the same time, if there is a severe fall in blood pressure due to shock, then it is a medical emergency. In this case blood can be given through the needle (IV). Medications may also be given to normalize blood pressure and strengthen the heart. If blood pressure is low on standing upright, doctors may recommend taking more fluids. At the same time, if this is happening due to some medicine, then the doctor can change the medicine. In addition, compress stoking can be worn. Due to this, there is no accumulation of blood in the legs.

 

How to Prevent

 

Some tips can be adopted to avoid low blood pressure and low blood pressure. Such as intake of sufficient fluid, sitting upright with the legs crossed, wearing compression stoking covering the thigh, sleeping with the head slightly elevated. Also keep the amount of salt in your diet normal, eat fruits, keep away from alcohol and smoking and do regular exercise and yoga.
