So after knowing many health benefits now we know about papaya plant.

Friends planting of papaya is not very difficult. Papaya grows in a warm environment and it is a highly frost-sensitive plant.

The scientific name of papaya is Carica papaya.

An interesting fact is that the papaya plant is present in three sexs 1.) Male 2.) Female 3.) Hermaphrodite

In male-type plants, they have only male flowers which produce only pollen and they have not produced fruits.

In female type plant flowers are small and have no pollens.

In hermaphrodite, the flower contains both male stamens and female overy.

So you have to grow one male plant with approx 20 female plants for a better fruit set.

The yellow pigment in papaya is due to caricaxanthin. While unripe papaya contains milk made from papain.

Most serious diseases in papaya are damping off.

In damping-off disease, the papaya plant is affected at a very young age. It is due to high heat situations. some fungi attack stem cells. You can protect it by using some fungicide.
