An examination of his career and some of his well-known roles
ALWAYS
Despite having a lengthy and successful career behind him, Rickman's portrayal of the scandalous but ultimately lovable Professor Severus Snape inspired a whole new generation. It was believed that the unfriendly instructor, who often offended Harry Potter, was a complicit party to Lord Voldemort's cunning schemes. But by the end of the show, people were moved by his selfless deeds, which Rickman expertly portrayed with the same elegant stillness of character he had displayed in earlier roles.

Who could possibly forget the eerie 'Always' line delivery he made?

Actor Tim Roth was initially courted for the position, according to Goliath. Rickman was able to replace Roth by choosing to star in Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes. Although Roth claims that his interpretation of Snape would have been very different, he thinks that "it was the right decision to cast Rickman since Alan's had some success with the character."

A "DIFFERENT" VOICE IS HIS
The Goliath study claims that Rickman's unusual voice was caused by a childhood handicap. His lower jaw was so tight that his words came out blurry and muddled. But those specific characteristics made him stand out in the delivery of his dialogue. According to a 2008 scientific study cited in the report, Rickman "had the perfect voice." This was discovered by the study using a mix of intonation, speed, frequency, and words per minute.
The renowned actor's singing was featured in Tim Burton's Demon Barber of Fleet Street, starring Johnny Depp and Alan Rickman.
THEATRIC' START
Even though he dabbled in acting as a young man, Alan Rickman's first career was as an artist. According to a story by Mental Floss, he studied graphic design at Chelsea College of Art and Design before enrolling in graduate degrees at the Royal College of Art. He then created Graphitti with a few buddies.

FILM'S FIRST ROLE
According to a report by Entertainment Weekly, Hans Gruber, played by Alan Rickman, made his Hollywood debut in Die Hard in 1988. Gruber was the meticulous genius behind the Nakatomi Tower heist in the movie.

His flirtatious side
"Although Rickman would grow to be known for an array of bad guy-type roles over the course of his career, he was also to become known for his great versatility, as evidenced here with his performance that tugged on the heartstrings of critics and audiences alike," according to the report.
HIS DAYBOOK
In order to keep track of meetings, milestones, premiere dates, and addresses, Alan Rickman started carrying a pocket journal in 1972. He started writing a far more thorough description of his life and job in 1992 after buying journals from a neighboring stationer who gave him a page to work with every day. According to a Guardian investigation, there are 26 books in total, with several of them featuring vivid and masterful illustrations.
