Due to a technological error, Neeraj Chopra was forced to rethrow his first try. After a protest, Kishore Kumar Jena's second toss was initially reported as illegal. Anju Bobby George of AFI claims that there is an attempt to "cheat Indians."

The current Olympic and world champion Neeraj Chopra won gold at the Hangzhou Asian Games, but not without a fight from his countryman Kishore Kumar Jena, who took silver. After a strange mistake in the beginning, when the officials appeared unable to gauge the length of Neeraj's first heave into the night, Neeraj eventually won a medal. The throw appeared to have touched down close to the 85-meter mark. But after much deliberation, the officials determined that the Indian should re-throw his initial effort because of their own technical error, with Neeraj watching from nearby.

Neeraj made a very solid first toss. They weren't prepared to measure it, though. Annu Rani, who yesterday won gold for India in the women's javelin throw competition, experienced the same thing. I don't understand why they are using Indian athletes in this manner. They're attempting to defraud us and trouble our athletes. Anju Bobby George, Senior Vice President of the Athletics Federation of India, informed reporters after the competition that Neeraj's first throw was excellent.

Looking dissatisfied, Neeraj slowly made his way back to his target to retry his first throw. When Neeraj made his rethrow, more than 15 minutes had gone since the initial throw. This time, it touched down at 82.38 meters.

At the halfway point, Neeraj's fellow countryman Kishore had taken the lead with a throw that was a personal best of 86.77 meters. As a result of yet another oversight by the organizers, Kishore's second throw was initially red-flagged for crossing the throwing line.

Neeraj Chopra successfully defended his javelin title at the Asian Games while rising star Kishore Jena took home the silver medal in a thrilling final that was controlled by two Indians. A day after Annu Rani won the gold medal in the women's javelin, the national stadium in Hangzhou witnessed India's tremendous development in the sport as Neeraj and Jena competed for Gold and Silver in the 12-man field.

Technical issues at the beginning of the men's javelin final put both Neeraj and Kishore under pressure. Technical issues that caused a significant delay necessitated the cancellation of Neeraj's first toss. Before it was awarded the white flag, Kishore Jena's second throw was incorrectly labeled a foul. However, both of the celebrities overcame the early obstacles to place third.
