Tatsiyaini, who was caught by a thief... did she keep her promise?
Story of Vikramaditya: Who is worthy of praise?
Vedalam started narrating a story to Vikramaditan.
A great merchant in Parvadadesa was not blessed with children.
As a result of their going from temple to temple, a boy and a girl were born.
They named the boy as Tharuman and the girl as Tatsiyaini.
Tatsiyaini ended up getting married to a man named Visayasekaran.
Daruman had a friend named Adikesavan. Once when Tatsiyaini was visiting the temple, Adikesavan saw her and asked if she would marry him? He asked.
Kallam Khapatamilla Tatsiyaini is engaged to be married to Visayasekaran. After our marriage, she asked my husband's consent and said she will come to you.
A few days later, the marriage ended happily. That night she openly told her brother's friend that she had promised her what had happened.
Visayasekaran froze in surprise thinking about his wife who spoke to him without hiding anything. Then he told her to keep her promise.
While going to Kalyana Kolam at night, a thief hid his way. On seeing the thief, Tatsiyaini went to take off my jewels without any fear and told him that he wanted my jewels for himself. But the thief said I don't need your jewels, I want you.
Hearing this, Tatsiyaini got consent from her husband and is going to fulfill my promise. I saw him and said wait till I come, left there and knocked on the door of Adikesavan's house, he also opened the door.
He was shocked to see Tatsiyaini at midnight. Tatsiyaini says I have got permission from her husband, now I can fulfill your wish.
Hearing this, Adikesavan was shocked. Then, looking at Tatsiyaini, he waved and sent her on her way saying, 'You are my sister who is the wife of another man!
Then Tatsiyaini came back and told the thief what had happened and said now fulfill your wish.
Thief who heard this, mother! You are not a woman, you are a goddess mother, I have spoken wrongly without understanding. He said forgive me mom. Then he gave her the jewels he had and sent her home safely.
Tatsiyaini, who came home, fell at her husband's feet and told her what had happened.
He was happy with his wife's guileless nature and embraced her. Vedalam ends the story by saying that both of them lived happily ever after.
Then, seeing Vikramaditya, Manna! Who is praised in this story? I heard
For that, Vikramaditya, Tatsiyaini's character and her husband's character are commendable. But they have been growing up like that since birth.
But, a thief is not like that. Forgetting his work, he considered a woman as a goddess, brought her home safely and left. Therefore, he said, the thief is praiseworthy.
Hearing the correct answer given by Vikramaditan, Vedalam flew away and climbed the Moringa tree.
