Ramu's Honesty..!!
Vedalam started narrating the story to Vikramaditan. Ratnakaran, a rich merchant in Vijayapuri, had three sons. Ramu, the third child among them, is very kind in nature. Whoever seeks him, he will immediately do whatever he asks for. His father was very worried about Ramu's character.
One day Ratnakaran told his close friend about Ramu. He said if he gives my girl in marriage to Ramu, she will change him. Accepting the idea of a friend, Ramu's marriage took place smoothly. One day Ramu's wife said to him, if you see that others are using your help properly, then you should donate.
Hearing this, Ramu went to the houses of those he had helped. But he found out that those who received help from him were not using it properly. He said to his wife that my help from now on should be useful to others. She said that she can help others through the medical profession.
Ramu immediately became a disciple of a yogi named Vaidyananda in Vedaranyam. In the same year, the Yogi who taught him medicine sent to him saying that if you become an honest doctor, I will give you the mantra leaves that I have.
Ramu considered his profession of medicine as a pious charity. After a year, a sannyasi came to his house. Standing at the door of the house, Ramu observed closely the practice of medicine. The Sannyasi was greatly impressed by the way Ramu went about his business without any selfishness. You are eligible to receive fingerprints containing mantras. Go to Vedaranyam and get them now! He said. But Ramu refused to go and buy the magic leaves, saying that patients would come looking for him every day and they would regret it if I wasn't here.
Ramu's wife was saddened by her husband's decision and asked the sannyasi for advice. According to his idea, Ramu's wife pretended to be ill. The sannyasi called Ramu and said, 'Your wife's illness cannot be cured by medicine but by mantra! Now go to your guru and get the footprints!” he said.
Immediately Ramu also came to buy leaves from the Guru. Learning them, he recited mantras for his wife's illness and pretended to be cured. The story concludes by saying that from that day onwards, Ramu cured diseases that could not be cured by medicine and became the best physician in the region.
Vedalam, seeing Vikramaditya, Manna! The Sannyasi, who repeatedly went to the Guru and asked to get the footprints but never went, left his principles in the air for his wife. How did his guru give them to him when he told him that he would give him leaves only if he practiced medicine honestly without any selfish motive? asked.
Vikramaditya replied, 'It is completely wrong to call Ramu selfish. A doctor's duty is to cure the patient. Therefore, it would never be wrong for him to go to his Guru to cure his wife. Knowing Ramu's sincerity, the Guru gave him the footprints without the slightest hesitation."
