Dear Diary,
It's been a week, I haven't talked to you. The time and the days were rough, but I stayed strong. Being strong is now a kind of achievement for me. You know, right? XD. Obviously, you know all my rough patches and major breakdowns in life. So thank you!
That's how I generally write it. A Diary. Sounds old-fashioned, right. Have you ever thought about keeping a diary? As a child, I wrote my diary for many years. At a certain moment, I considered this too childish for a mature person, so I stopped.
After years, I found those diaries somewhere in the storeroom. I read it, and I don't know, but I felt so nice after reading it. Maybe I was reading it after so many years, so that could be the reason, but no, there was something else in that and that was ‘Me…young and pure'. Stupid sentences, I used to try in English but did not have enough understanding at that time, so I used to write as much as I could.
My point is, we all are so busy in our lives that we barely get a chance to detach ourselves from gadgets and think for ourselves about how we are doing, how things work accordingly, or have you ever got a chance to ask yourself, “How am I”? Is it too much to ask for? It's essential to make yourself a priority for some time.
Keeping a journal can help you uplift your personality,
It is easier to remember big things, but the meaningful little ones are sometimes lost. That is why a diary is an ally. You can remember a moment or a person so how you felt at a certain time. You will create a bank of memories where all the moments of your life are safely guarded.
Diary will become one of your treasures.
Speaking about things can be complicated, maybe you cannot express yourself as clearly as you would wish in that way. Humans are full of feelings, and there is no shame in it. Sometimes we feel so much that it is too difficult to make sense of it, and we end up pretending that we do not feel anything pretend.
How much does a person change in a month, a year?
Some inside changes happen so gradually, the changes can be seen in the way you write. When I was a child, my writing during those days was so different from today. Those changes tell you something, your story.
Find your way to make the most of it.
I just want to make a simple point, which is, what are you or who are you as a person? You can make a fake point to the world, to social media, but who are you actually? Your journal knows it, and you can't lie about it.
