Hello and welcome back to you all. I hope you all are doing good. So the topic for today is quite sensitive but it's not regarded as the same way. Yes it's men's being emotional.
There should be no moment if awe if a men cries, expresses his feelings, feel hurt, has body insecurities. After all they are also a human. A human is bound to feel sad and happy so we can't limit it just to womens. Almost each of you have experienced or rather heard this line in the society where mens are always said don't cry like a girl. This is such a wrong thing in two ways firstly, it prohibits males to express any further while it pictures women's as weak and sensitive always.
We need to change this approach. Why can't we see both males and females as a human crying or expressing their emotions rather than categorising them into men's don't cry and women's always are sensitive. Just face it as a human expressing his /her emotional side.
Everyone has the right to express so why not men's. Why are they always questioned and stopped by the society. Normalize the fact that even men's can cry and it's okay.
Not only women's feel insecure about their body and looks males are also facing the same. But again they are not expressing or else society will categories them, compare them to females etc.
We have not really pais attention to men's bodypositivity issues. It's a bitter truth but it prevails in our society and men's are facing it without even talking about it.
Here are few things we can do to make the changes from our end. Whenever you see a guy emotional make him comfortable tell him it's okay to cry, express. You don't have to be tough all the time.
Talk to him about how he feels let the things that are inside him for so long come out.
Normalize this!!! Start from your own home. Your friends around, your boyfriend your male friend. Trust me tou can be a shoulder to cry on a non judgemental one.
That's it guys hope you all got the point. Thanks for staying up till the end and will be back with something new soon till then take care and stay safe π
