5. The 100
Set on a post apocalyptic Earth, it relays the story of 100 teens sent on Earth in order to find out if it is inhabitable. So what happens next? I guess you'll find out once you start watching. It focuses extensively on morality of actions and the “rights” and “wrongs” of its consequence. With an interesting story line, detailed character depths and 8 seasons, this show is ideal for you if you're looking to commit to a show.
4. Castlevania
Those who are not familiar with this show have absolutely no idea how much of a masterpiece this show is. Castlevania revolves around a number of characters each with their own goals in mind. You've got the Big Bad Dracula who wants to literally destroy all humans, you've got his(gender fluid?) son who wants to stop his father no matter what, and of course Trevor Belmont, the bad ass of the show. The show has 3 seasons currently, with the 4th season releasing on Netflix in May. Overall, if you like R rated action, gore, politics and amazing animations, this show is for you.
3. Peaky Blinders
Chances are that you've probably seen this masterpiece of a show. But if you haven't, consider this a sign from above to start watching it. The show focuses on Tommy Shelby (played amazingly by Cilian Murphy) who runs a gang called the Peaky Blinders. Engaging plot twists, legendary dialogues and a hint of graphic violence is the essence of this show. This is one show you'll probably regret not watching. A Peaky Blinder movie has also been announced, which will presumably be the grand finale of the show.
2. Shadow and Bone
This netflix original series, which is supposedly Netflix's solution to Game of Thrones, is based on the books by Leigh Bardugo and has the potential of being every bit as epic(if not more) as Game of Thrones.
Based in a fantasy world this show however, is not your average fantasy web series. With amazing characters that work on the edge of good and bad(inclination towards bad), you are guaranteed to fall in love with the complex flaws of each character. This series has the build of something epic. Although Netflix hasn't confirmed another season yet, it is only a matter of time before that happens.
1. Sherlock
Looking for a crime-drama thriller that offers more? You've hit the jackpot. Meet Detective Sherlock Holmes. He's genius, he's smart, he's a highly functioning sociopath. This show almost transformed Sherlock Holmes into a crime fighting superhero. If you like detective stories, insanely likable villains, and sapiosexualism, this show will definitely be your Noah's Ark.
