Today I am trying to write the review of a very good book which I have purchased and read it for myself. And I have thoroughly loved it. There are certain points in this books which actually helped me to heal myself after a certain sad phase of my life. I actually read the book after that sad phase of my life and I must confess today that it was such a pain reliever and a healer in the form of a book.
In this book the author Jay Shetty, has told about his life changes, his career change and about his going to an Ashram to find out about his true self.
He was staying in the Ashram for several days and his learnings, and his views about a simple process of leading life is the main focus of the book.
The very first thing that Ilearned from this book is that you have to shed all those complex materials around you and get attracted to a simple life with a simple cloth , simple sleeping space, simple lifestyle and the importance of feeling your subconscious each day.
Since we are all busy in our daily lives and everybody is very busy these days, there is a communication gap created between friends, families, lovers, neighbours and also with one's own self. So this gap has to be eradicated through calmness of mind and the teachings of the monks.
These teachings actually guide you to feel your mind, to follow a simple lifestyle in order to focus on the greatness of life. Many of us get lost in this world even if we have a good job, a good loving partner, and everything required for a good life.
But why these things happen to us?
Why don't we value our connection with ourselves and others. There must be some reason. The busy life process is actually taking us away from ourselves and nature. So that thing is portrayed through this book.
Finding a direction to your life's goal and leading a meaningful and pleasing life is also the focus of this book. Not only meditation for hours and all that a monk does is talked about in this book. There is a correlation between us and the life of a monk which is portrayed through this book.
Even if we try we can hardly lead the life of a monk because that is literally not possible with so busy a lifestyle we follow but how can we learn certain things from a monk's life is what is portrayed in this book.
After coming back from the Ashram the author truly found his aim in life and also could concentrate on his conjugal life. Before that experience he was all lost like many of us, these days.
So its a great book, total rejuvenating one..!!
