The Positive Side Of 'Reading Book'

Reading books is not the go of the day anymore . Reading eBooks has taken its place. When I was younger the only happiness that I could derive from studies was reading the extra books that I had gathered from various sources. It was also a fun to hide those extra books in my text book and read them when my Mom would be busy.

But today reading books is very obsolete as it seems to be, but there are practically many positive sides of reading books. I will try to share some of my views and opinions.

Increasing your concentration level- When you read a book holding it to your hand you are actually doing an exercise of concentration. If we can increase the time of reading a single book for a longer period of time, it can increase our concentration level to a great extent. We can concentrate on other works too. So reading books is surely a good practice.

Keeping away from a gadget- A book is not a gadget. So it has no side effect to exposing you to the ill effects of a gadget like your Android Phone. So practically reading a book is much healthier than reading an eBook from your mobile.

Increasing your vocabulary- If you want to increase your vocabulary, guys..reading books is very effective. We don't even realize when lots of new  words gets registered in our minds. When we get to write something, or we are doing a discussion with our friends we get to understand how much our ‘stock of words’ have increased.

Giving you lots of information in a well organized form- We might read blogs, read other online things. That's good. We also need to acknowledge the new technologies. But in a book what happens is you get a compilation of many things just in the form of a package. The authors of different books intend to compose a book with lots of information including many things which he adds from his own practical experiences. So if we read the book of a particular book, we get to learn about his views and we get to see life from many angles. This increases our perception about life.

Increasing your patience level- Again reading a book has lots to do with your level of patience. Today we are living in such times, where we don't get to practice patience. This is because this is the age of 'instant supply'.

So reading a book can definitely increase our patience level because reading a book is always very exciting. You always want to discover the climax and the ending. This drives us to read the book till the end which in turn increases our patience level.
