We all love to procrastinate our work. Everybody wants to postpone our daily work for the next day. This is s natural tendency.
Like the other day, when I was washing my utensils after having my dinner, I thought of keeping my dishes for the next day. And I went to sleep with the incomplete dishes. The next day when I got up early in the morning, I saw lots of ants and cockroaches sitting on the leftovers clung to the dishes. If I would wash the dishes the previous day, then all those insects would not have gathered and my kitchen basin would remain clean. But I procrastinated my work for the next day.
So in this way, if we keep on procrastinating our work, then actually qe are delaying our achievements. The quicker we complete our target, the closer we go to our goals. And this is irrespective of what work we are doing.
Sometimes we feel very tired and we procrastinate our work. This is okay only for that day, but if we carry on with this procrastination for life long or in the future, then this procrastination becomes a bad habit and this can lead us to delayed success.
Sometimes we do not understand the importance of doing or completing a work on the right time. And this creates a tendency in us to repeat the same thing again and again. When we do not understand our commitments then it increases our load.
We never procrastinate with our eating, brushing, sleeping, going to toilet or other essential activities.Do we postpone this task for many days? Or rather can we postpone this tasks? Then why can't we take seriously all those tasks which we have commitment on??
Procrastination actually increases our load. I will give you another example. When I was studying science in my plus two level, I suddenly caught the habit of procrastinating my lessons each night. I used to leave it for the next day. And in this way just before my final examination I fell in serious trouble completing my lessons. And that pain of completing my lessons just before my final examination days, still lingers in my mind. I still remember the trouble I had to face then.
So what I could understand from my lessons is that procrastination only leads us to increased load and tension and nothing else. So why to increase our stress?? It's better to complete our daily tasks like our breakfast and dinner and then go to sleep without tension and also wake up without tension.
