Online Teaching -A Must Discussion

I have heard a lot of people say many things about online teaching, these days….!! I will exactly tell you the issues that parents are having with the online teachers and I will also discuss about the pros and cons of all those allegations given on the online teachers.

Pronunciation is bad-

Since the parents get to watch the online teaching process, they observe the pronunciation of the teachers and the parents start to judge the teachers efficiency by her pronunciation . This is simply baseless. There are many doctors, engineers, entrepreneurs who have bad pronunciation but they are doing miracles each day. so blaming the teachers on their pronunciation is simply blaming them unjustly.

Not friendly attitude-

Teachers have not come to play friends to the kids only. They are friendly but they also have to be strict or else the kids will take them casually and they wont give them importance. So can you blame the teachers for not being friends to your kids?? If teachers become your kid's friend then what will happen to the other friends that your child is having…?? How can the child be able to distinguish between a friend and a teacher??

Impolite to kids- Are the parents always polite with their kids?? It isn't possible …right??

Then how do you expect a teacher handling 100 s of kids in a class will not show a little impoliteness? Parents cannot handle their own kids politely then why to blame the teachers who has to maintain a class of 100 students?

Doesn't teach well- The teachers have passes their teacher training programs for two years or more before joining a school. So how can you blame a trained teacher so badly?? Are all the parents, trained as much as the teachers? Then why do they blame so frequently about the quality of teaching…Is it because you can watch them 'live' ??

High fees- Now during the pandemic many parents were reluctant to pay the fees of the school because online teaching is considered much more easier than offline one. But be it ‘ Online or ‘ offline’ how can you blame the teachers for their high fees?? They do not decide the fees structure. Moreover in our country, teaching is one of the most underpaid jobs. Although great scientists, researcher, astronauts, doctors are created by the same teachers.

Now I have some thing to say more about online teachers. Its very tough to teach when you are being watched. Even a doctor would not be ready to perform an operation if he is to be watched by the patient party. Doing something when you are being watched requires a different level of mental strength and caliber which are to be mastered with time. And the online platform of teaching is still a very new one. So its a request to all the parents to give that time to the online teachers because we all are new to the online world. And blaming the teachers because its their job, is something very very unsmart way of handling the issue.

Give time to the teachers and have trust on them…your child will not loose anything in life. Above all.. Be a Human first…!!
