Bangla Mukhi Temple

This is one temple where I found the ATM within the temple premises. This was another non-planned visit to a temple. When we reached there it was about 6pm in the evening and it was January, very cold.

The local people was sitting on the cold marble floor and doing the ‘ Aarti ’ but I felt so cold that I could not sit for the Aarti. I was standing and offering the ‘ Aarti’ .

We prayed to mother goddess. And we were the last persons to offer the prayer before the ‘Aartis'. After that the Mandir was closed. Many people were performing ‘ Yajnas’ in this temple. People having problems in marriage come here for special ‘ Yajnas’.

Brihadeshwari/ Kangra Devi

This temple was at a distant part of Dharamshala. We had to climb up by road and go a long way to visit this temple. It was very thrilling in the way. There was no people or car or street light on the way. It was all very dark around. We were feeling very very thrilled . Then when we reached there we experienced a wonderful thing and this incident I would share in one my blogs.

We visited the Kangra Devi temple and took the prasad and our new year began in a very holy way. We spent the whole day in holy places and that's the best thing that could have happened to us on the 1st January 2021.

Day-11 (2nd January 2021)

On 2nd January , early morning we hired a car from Mcleodganj . We went to visit the Chintpurni Devi Temple. It was cold winter but you have to climb the steps without shoes or socks because the steps are all wet and cold. We took the ticket coupon from the counter and we had to climb hundred steps to visit the shrine.

The weather was very happening . In the shivering cold, it was raining and many fire place could be seen around. As we were climbing up the steps I met a transgender lady who was dressed very well. She gave me blessings and disappeared. It was so beautiful all around. I loved the ambience very much.

There are many poor children gathering in the temple. They surrounded us and was asking for food. My husband bought some packets of milk available there and gave one to each child. It was really a very pleasant experience in Chintpurni.

Chintpurni to Chandigarh

Then we came to Chandigarh and spend the night in a hotel closer to the railway station because the next day early morning we had our train to Delhi.

Tips: Please book a hotel closer to railway station if you have a train journey because those hotels are economical.

3rd January 2021

The next morning we hurried up to the station and we boarded the train at 6.30 a.m. The train was very comfortable . It was ‘Janshatabdi Express' . We spent 3 hours in the train . And then reached New Delhi . There we had our lunch at Burger King because no other place had any opening .

Moreover it was raining badly. So it was very comfortable at the Burger King outlet.

Last but not the least

Guess what? we had a really budget tour but we did not miss anything. We went to Himachal by train and car but we ended the journey by flight. We had booked our flight many days before, so the price was very cheap. We reached Kolkata within 2 hours .It was very tiring to return by train. So we made the journey shorter and reached home comfortably.😊😊
