As we age we often begin to loose our confidence. We become more aware of our physical looks and our fitness level. we often begin to develop a complex which prevents us to enjoy the rest of the life.
Fitness
The most important thing at this stage of life is to follow a fitness routine but not to get worried about it. When we age the strength in our body keeps lowering, so we need to do exercise to keep ourselves fit. And exercise is one of the things that increases and revives our muscle power and gives us strength. So doing timely exercises and going for a brisk walk is absolutely necessary for giving us that fitness glow and it keeps our mind fresh.
Food
We need to take good care about our feeding habits. We have to know that the quantity and type of food that we used to eat during our 20s will change in the 30s and more so in the 40s, 50s and so on. We cannot take the same amount of food as we age. This leads to our digestion problem. We have to avoid junk food and processed food absolutely for keeping our body fit. For aged people eating at the right time is also something which needs to be monitored.
Sleep
There has to be a considerable hour of sleep and resting. This helps to give more energy and freshness during the daily activities.
Activities
Now age is just a number. Whatever activities we are fond of we can go for it…If only we feel ok and we have self satisfaction then nobody should stop us from following our heart.
This could be playing indoor and outdoor games like chess and swimming respectively. We have to understand that our life doesn't end when we age. May be, wrinkles come to our face and skin, May be we lack that fitness level….But there is life within us…which should not be disrespected…!!
For aged people life is not just going to the holy places and offering prayers, its not just meditating and listening to bhajans…No….it isn't..!!
Aging makes us more experienced and its the right time to share our experiences with others…
May be in our younger days, we have had extremely thrilling adventures which is hard to imagine also….This is the best time to share our stories and create something beautiful in our own ways.
Old age is not just the age of gossiping and complaining…Its much more than that…!!
Lets just try to give meaning to our aging process and do different beautiful things as we age…!! lets jump from 20s to 30s to 40s to 50s….with a newer vision and newer goals. Lets make the best of our aging process…and just not feel bad about it..
