The definition of rainforest is given below:
According to the Oxford dictionary, “rainforest means dense forest in tropical areas where there is a lot of rain”. According to the Cambridge Dictionary, "Rainforest means dense forest that grows in warm regions of the world." Biological and abiotic factors are interdependent. A small change in the one area will affect the other. These areas have great biodiversity. Temperatures are roughly the same year-round and never fall below 20 °C and rarely exceed 35 °C. There are no seasons and in the atmosphere is hot or humid. Here, rainfall occurs a lot so the soil here is not too fertile because most of the nutrients are washed away by the rainfall. , shrubs, main and lower canopy and growing species. They are mainly found in South America, West or Central Africa, India and Southeast Asia, and some other areas. Their distribution is visible on the map. Information on rainfall distribution and characteristics There are several aspects of tropical rainforests that are the same regardless of the type of rainforest. in a rainforest, consisting of a layer of branches and leaves 30 meters (100 feet) above the ground between two closely spaced trees. Forest plants and animals depend heavily on tree canopy for survival. Forests have an extraordinary amount of biodiversity, otherwise known as the "biodiversity". Earth's tropical forests are home to about half of Earth's terrestrial species. At local, regional and global scales, rainforests provide ecosystem services, including oxygen production (tropical forests account for 25-30% of global circulating oxygen) and carbon storage ( rainforests store between 229 and 247 billion tons of carbon). They also significantly affect rainfall patterns and weather patterns; regulate flood and drought cycles and facilitate nutrient cycling. Tropical Rainforest Climate These areas are dominated by marine tropical air masses and generally have the same temperature throughout the year. The average monthly temperature found here is 27°C, which doesn't change too much. Temperatures are always moderate due to clouds or frequent rainfall or sea and land winds. The average annual rainfall in these areas is always above 150 cm and can reach around 250-300 cm in some areas. There is no winter and there is no month without rain.Thank you for your valuable time.
